Bring it Down -- Safe and Secure
Clear the Way for What’s Next
Sometimes the first step in building something new is taking something down. Whether it’s an outdated home, an old commercial structure, or a damaged building that needs to go, demolition has to be done safely, cleanly, and with a plan.
At Butters Companies, we handle demolition work with care, precision, and the right equipment for the job. Our team removes structures of all sizes across Northern Utah—homes, warehouses, office buildings, garages, sheds, and everything in between.
What is Demolition?
Demolition is more than just knocking things down. It’s a controlled process that involves planning, permits, safety measures, cleanup, and sometimes even recycling materials.
We offer full-service demolition for:
-
Single-family homes
-
Multi-unit buildings
-
Commercial and industrial structures
-
Interior demo for remodels
-
Garages, sheds, and outbuildings
-
Fire- or flood-damaged properties
-
City or RDA-owned projects
Our team handles everything from start to finish—so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Why Butters Companies?
Demolition isn’t a job for just anyone with a backhoe. It takes experience, knowledge of regulations, and the ability to work carefully and safely.

All-in-One Service
We take care of it all—permits, equipment, teardown, debris removal, and site cleanup. No need to coordinate with multiple companies.
Safety Comes First
We follow all safety guidelines and keep the worksite protected and contained. We fence off the area when needed and use water control to reduce dust.
Licensed and Insured
You’re protected from start to finish. Our crews are trained, insured, and experienced.
Local Projects, Local Knowledge
We’ve completed demolition projects in Ogden, Syracuse, Layton, Tooele, and other cities across Northern Utah. We know the local codes and permitting process inside and out.

Our Demolition Process
We follow a clear process to make sure every job goes smoothly.
Site Review and Planning
We walk the site, identify hazards, review building materials, and look at access for machinery. If there’s asbestos or lead paint, we make a plan for certified removal.
Permits and Utilities
We handle or assist with permitting, and we make sure all utilities—power, gas, water—are shut off and documented.
Demolition Begins
Using the right equipment for the job, we take down the structure in a controlled sequence. For tight lots, we may use smaller equipment and hand tools.
Debris Removal
We sort and haul away everything—wood, concrete, steel, drywall—so you’re left with a clean site.
Backfill and Grading
If needed, we fill holes, level the site, and get it ready for the next phase—whether that’s construction, landscaping, or leaving it as open ground.
Demolition We Handle
Residential Demolition
We remove single-family homes, duplexes, trailers, garages, and sheds. Whether you’re rebuilding or selling the lot, we can help clear it safely.
Commercial Demolition
From offices and strip malls to warehouses and light industrial buildings, we’ve cleared many types of commercial spaces. We work with developers, contractors, and municipalities.
Selective Demolition
Need to remove a kitchen, basement, or interior walls while keeping the main structure intact? We do that too.
Government/ RDA Jobs
We’ve worked on projects for local redevelopment agencies and government organizations, following their specific standards and documentation needs.
